bipolar wristbands

bipolar wristbands

is it safe to wear one sea sick band instead of two?

my partner has suffered from an anxiety disorder and borderline bipolar in the past but has been untroubled without meds for the last 6 months. She is now 3 months pregnant and recently has put on one seasick (instead of 2) wristband. It instantly cured her morning sickness but has now sufferered an almost psychotic episode feels like she is losing her mind. She is reluctant to remove the band for fear of the sickness. Could this be causing an inbalance for her?

given her psychiatric diagnosis and being pregers as well, it could be ANYTHING..... that's good the one helped her... I really doubt that wearing one vs two would make a difference with her symptoms.

My understanding of the sea sickness band is that its a accupressure point so its not actual medicine however since it is using acupressure lines, it's possible that that particular point is affecting her emotional state being that she has vulnerabilities already.

It might be worth her taking the band off just to see if her psycological state improves but more likely than not, it's the lack of medication/treatment she has probably had to give up to have her pregnancy.

I hope she is being followed by a psychiatrist.. maybe she needs to talk to them and see what can be done. even having a therapist might help keep an eye on her mental state. Being pregnant with all of the hormones happening can really mess with someones mental state normally let alone someone who already deals with bipolar disorder and an anxiety disorder as well.

Anyways, I highly doubt its the band unless that particular accupressure point is something that is affecting her brain but i dont know how likely thaqt is. I guess I sorta feel like a lot of it is a placebo effect but how am I to really know. I say she should remove the band and chance the sickness to see if her mind improves... espeicaly now that she is through the first trimester which is where the most morning sickness occures. Most people tend to improve in morning sickness in the following trimesters so she should be okay there.

It's likely being off the medication. IT can take awhile for the medication to truly clear the systema nd for the mind to catch up wiuth the fact that its truly without the extra help so this could be the point where she is feeling that effect more...

best of fortune...
