gene bipolar
Is something wrong w/ me, I never want to be a mom?

I do have some reasons:
*The environment and world corruption is going south- why bring a child into that?
*Pregnancy is gross and difficult- placentas, saggy boobs, stretchmarks? Ugh.
*I have Bipolar disorder and I don't want to pass that along or suffer from symptoms while pregnant and raising a baby-kid.
*I have a hard time with commitment (except to my hubby) and I like it quiet, I also don't want to share my husband.

I've never really been the "mothering" type. I like kids but I just can't picture myself with my own. My husband loves babies, wants one in the future and would be a fantastic father; I don't want to let him down. We're both 27.

So, what do you think- am I missing a "mom-gene", am I being selfish or what? What if I change my mind when I'm too old?

Some good reasons, some not so good. Anything is possible........if millions of us parents raise good, productive, respectful, caring human beings then maybe the world will change for the better??????? I can only speak for myself but my pregnancy wasn't gross at all, yup I got stretchmarks but I am using BioOil and they are looking way better. Have you ever seen a woman that has 5/6 kids and look like a supermodel? Some women's bodies go right back to how it was before pregnancy. You could be one of those blessed people, you never know. Bipolar........I have no idea what that is like, but I understand that being a reason why you wouldn't want to have a child. Is your husband all alone in this world, doesn't work, just stay locked in the house? If not then you already share him in some sort of way.

Some people just don't want to have a child and that is fine. You never know you may totally love being a mom once it happens.
